MLK Day of Service

Volunteer drivers give their time on a weekly basis to make the world a better place.  The perpetual challenge is to recruit enough drivers to meet the high demand of ride requests.  Our “ask” on this Martin Luther King Day of service is to make the commitment to pick up at least one extra ride by the end of this month.

Additionally, our network partners would love for you to spread the word to your friends and neighbors and encourage them to become drivers.  Together, we can combat loneliness and isolation, while giving the gift of a lift.

“You have to give back to the people who need it. Hopefully, when I’m [their] age, somebody will do that for me.”

Mark O’Connor, Volunteer Driver for Shepherd’s Center of McLean, Arlington, Falls Church
